Ensure the skin is in good condition and free of irritation before your appointment. Follow all preparation guidelines provided by Platinum Medical Spa to support treatment effectiveness and safety.
Treatment is not suitable if you have active cold sores, warts, excessively sensitive skin, eczema, dermatitis, inflammatory rosacea, sunburn, vitiligo, uncontrolled diabetes, facial paralysis, or are pregnant or breastfeeding. Avoid treatment if you have epilepsy, a pacemaker, muscular or nervous disorders, orthopedic implants, or are undergoing chemotherapy or radiation. Patients who used Isotretinoin (Accutane/Epuris) within the past 3–6 months should consult Platinum Medical Spa. History of herpes may require antiviral medication.
Avoid sun exposure and tanning beds for at least 2 weeks prior. Use SPF 30+ daily. Do not receive injectables (Botox or fillers) within 2 weeks prior to treatment.
Discontinue for 3–5 days prior: retinol and prescription retinoids (Retin-A, Renova, Differin/Adapalene, Tazorac), salicylic acid, AHAs, BHAs, glycolic acid, lactic acid, benzoyl peroxide, vitamin C, and exfoliating scrubs.
Avoid waxing, depilatory creams, or any treatments that may irritate the skin before your appointment.

Cleanse → exfoliation tip → gentle extraction/infusion → finishing serums and SPF. Session length is 45–60 minutes with comfortable suction sensations.
A mild rosy glow or sunburn-like sensation may occur for 24–48 hours, especially in sensitive skin. This is normal and temporary.
Acne may temporarily worsen after the first treatment before improving. Peeling or flaking of the outer skin layer may occur within a few days and should resolve naturally.
Avoid direct sun exposure for 1–2 days. Use a broad-spectrum SPF 30+ daily (e.g., Colorescience Brush-on Shield or SkinMedica SPF 34).
Avoid for at least 48 hours post-treatment: salicylic acid, AHAs, BHAs, retinol, prescription retinoids, and benzoyl peroxide.
Avoid swimming, hot tubs, and saunas for 48 hours. Do not pick, pull, or manipulate peeling skin to prevent scarring or hyperpigmentation.
Continue medical-grade skincare as recommended by Platinum Medical Spa to maintain results. Your provider will recommend specific post-treatment products tailored to your skin.
