Dermal Fillers
Book NowDermal fillers are injectable treatments designed to restore volume, smooth out lines, and enhance facial contours for a youthful, refreshed appearance. Made from hyaluronic acid — a substance naturally found in the skin — these fillers can be used to lift cheeks, define the jawline, plump lips, and soften wrinkles. At Platinum Medical Spa, our expert injectors use precise techniques to create natural-looking, balanced results that enhance your features without looking overdone.

Dermal fillers are injectable treatments used to restore volume, enhance facial features, and improve the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Most fillers are composed of hyaluronic acid, a substance naturally found in the body. Results are temporary and typically last from 6 months up to 2 years depending on the product and treatment area. A consultation is required to determine the most appropriate filler type and treatment plan. Patients must inform Platinum Medical Spa of their full medical history, including allergies, autoimmune conditions, medications, and any previous adverse reactions to injectables.
To reduce the risk of bruising and bleeding, avoid blood thinning medications and supplements for 7 to 10 days prior to treatment if medically permitted. This includes Aspirin, Ibuprofen, Motrin, Advil, Aleve, NSAIDs, Vitamin E, Vitamin D, Fish Oil, Omega 3, Garlic, Ginkgo Biloba, Ginseng, St John’s Wort, flax, and other herbal supplements. Avoid alcohol for at least 24 hours before and after treatment. Arnica may be taken prior to treatment to help minimize bruising. Always consult your physician before stopping any prescribed medications.
Treatment should be postponed if you have any active infection, cold, flu, virus, open wounds, acne, rashes, or inflammation in the treatment area. Dermal fillers are not recommended if you are pregnant or breastfeeding or if you have known allergies to filler components. Inform your provider if you have a history of cold sores, as antiviral medication may be required prior to treatment. Patients with recent illness, immunizations, dental procedures, surgeries, tattoos, or permanent makeup within the past 2 to 4 weeks may need to reschedule treatment. Patients on immunosuppressive or biologic medications must inform their provider prior to treatment.
Avoid using retinoids, retinol, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acids, or other active skincare products for at least 2 days before treatment. Arrive with clean skin free of makeup, lotions, or creams in the treatment area.
Schedule your treatment at least 2 weeks prior to any important social events to allow time for swelling or bruising to resolve. Avoid dental work, immunizations, cosmetic procedures, or skin treatments for at least 2 weeks before and after filler injections to reduce the risk of complications.
A topical anesthetic may be applied prior to injections for comfort. During treatment, small amounts of filler are injected into targeted areas. You may feel mild pressure or discomfort during the procedure. Mild swelling or redness may appear immediately after injections.

Filler enhances your beauty without altering your natural expressions.
Each treatment is personalized to suit your unique face shape and goals.
Most appointments take under an hour, with little to no recovery time.
During your consultation, we'll assess your facial structure, concerns, and aesthetic goals to create a targeted treatment plan. The filler is then injected with precision into specific areas to restore lost volume or add definition. Common areas include the cheeks, nasolabial folds, lips, chin, and under-eyes. Most clients experience only a slight pinch or pressure during the procedure. Results are seen immediately and can last anywhere from 6 to 18 months depending on the area treated and the product used.
Do not apply makeup, cleanser, or skincare products to the treated area until the day after treatment. Keep the area clean and avoid touching, rubbing, or manipulating the injection sites.
Swelling, bruising, tenderness, redness, firmness, or mild nodules may occur after treatment. These effects are common and typically resolve within a few days to two weeks. Sleeping with your head elevated for the first 24 to 72 hours may help reduce swelling.
Avoid strenuous exercise, increased heart rate, or heavy physical activity for at least 24 hours after treatment. Avoid sleeping on your side or stomach for the first 24 hours to prevent displacement of the filler. Avoid excessive pressure on the treated areas.
Avoid heat exposure such as saunas, hot tubs, steam rooms, and very hot showers for at least 48 to 72 hours. Avoid excessive sun exposure and apply sunscreen once appropriate. Limit alcohol and high sodium intake to reduce swelling.
Cold compresses may be applied for 15 minutes at a time during the first 12 to 24 hours to reduce swelling and discomfort. Acetaminophen Tylenol may be used if needed. Avoid NSAIDs immediately after treatment as they may increase bruising. Arnica may be used to help resolve bruising more quickly.
Avoid dental work, immunizations, facials, laser treatments, or procedures that break the skin barrier for at least 2 to 4 weeks after treatment. Results are visible immediately but will continue to improve as swelling subsides. Longevity varies based on the area treated and individual metabolism. A follow up appointment is typically recommended at 2 weeks. Contact Platinum Medical Spa immediately if you experience severe pain, skin discoloration, signs of infection, or any unusual symptoms.
