ProFractional®
Book NowProFractional® treats a fraction of the skin with micro-columns of ablative energy while leaving surrounding tissue intact. This approach jump-starts collagen remodeling for long-term texture improvements and allows recovery to be tuned—light refreshes or deeper corrective passes for scars and wrinkles.

Use a daily SPF 30+ and avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 4–6 weeks before treatment to reduce the risk of complications.
Stop retinoids, exfoliating acids, and active skincare products 1–2 weeks prior. Avoid chemical peels or aggressive treatments for 4–6 weeks before your appointment.

Works well with other Sciton modalities and topical actives for comprehensive plans.
After cleansing and topical numbing (local anesthetic for deeper work if needed), the handpiece delivers patterned pulses. Expect heat and pressure with a “prickly” sensation. Sessions take 20–40 minutes; downtime ranges ~2–7+ days depending on settings.
Moderate swelling, redness, warmth, and a sunburn-like sensation are expected. Swelling may peak within 24–72 hours. Peeling, bronzing, or flaking will occur as the skin heals. Antihistamines may be used if needed and tolerated.
Do not wash the area for 12–24 hours unless advised. Avoid makeup, sunscreen, and skincare products. Use cool compresses (no direct ice) and keep your head elevated to reduce swelling.
Starting 24 hours after treatment: Gently cleanse with a mild cleanser. Perform diluted vinegar soaks as instructed (typically 4–6 times daily for 3–5 days). Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor after cleansing and continue 2–3 times daily for about 7 days. Avoid regular moisturizers during early healing; use only recommended occlusive products (e.g., Aquaphor).
Avoid heat, saunas, steam, and intense exercise for 48–72 hours. Avoid alcohol for 48 hours. Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate the skin. Avoid shaving and swimming for at least 1 week.
Start a mineral sunscreen SPF 30+ after 48 hours once the skin feels comfortable. Avoid direct sun exposure and wear protective clothing. Avoid retinoids, acids, and active exfoliants for 4 weeks. Avoid aggressive treatments for 8–12 weeks. Makeup may be resumed after 48 hours if the skin barrier feels intact.
Healing varies by treatment. Halo typically shows bronzing and flaking within days 2–7. CO₂ and ProFractional healing may take 10–14 days. Collagen remodeling continues for several months. Contact your provider if you experience severe pain, infection signs, excessive crusting, or worsening symptoms.
