Botox
Book NowBotox® (onabotulinumtoxinA) is a minimally invasive injectable that gently relaxes targeted facial muscles to soften moderate to severe expression lines and wrinkles.* It’s one of the most popular cosmetic treatments worldwide for smoothing forehead lines, frown lines between the brows, and crow’s feet around the eyes.* Botox treatments are quick with minimal downtime — ideal for clients seeking refreshed, youthful-looking skin without surgery.

Botox should not be performed in patients with neuromuscular disorders, allergy to botulinum toxin, human albumin, or cow’s milk protein (Dysport), history of myasthenia gravis, recent Bell’s Palsy (within 3 years), recent seizures, or in patients who are pregnant or breastfeeding. Inform Platinum Medical Spa of your full medical history, medications, supplements, recent vaccinations (within 2 weeks), recent illness, infection, or antibiotic use, and any skin conditions in the treatment area. Treatment should be postponed if there is a rash, cold sore, or active skin irritation.
Avoid blood-thinning medications and supplements for 1–2 weeks prior, including Aspirin, Ibuprofen (Advil, Motrin), Aleve, Excedrin, NSAIDs, as well as Fish Oil (Omega-3), Vitamin E, garlic, ginkgo biloba, St. John’s Wort, and other herbal supplements, as they increase the risk of bruising. If you are on prescribed blood thinners, consult your physician before stopping. Tylenol (acetaminophen) is preferred if pain relief is needed.
Discontinue Retin-A, tretinoin, retinol, glycolic acid, alpha hydroxy acids, and other active or anti-aging products 2–3 days prior to treatment. Avoid waxing, tweezing, bleaching, depilatories, laser treatments, or any irritating procedures in the treatment area for several days before treatment.
Avoid alcohol for at least 24–72 hours prior to treatment, as it may increase bruising. Avoid caffeine on the day of treatment. Eat a meal or snack before your appointment and stay well hydrated to prevent lightheadedness. Arnica and bromelain may be used prior to treatment to reduce bruising. Maintaining good nutrition, including fresh fruits such as pineapple and papaya, may support healing.
Schedule your appointment at least 2–4 weeks prior to any special event, as results take time to appear and mild bruising or swelling may occur. Initial results typically begin within 3–5 days, with full results seen at 10–14 days.
Arrive with clean skin and inform your provider of any changes in your health or medications. You may take Tylenol one hour before treatment if needed. Follow all instructions provided by Platinum Medical Spa to ensure a safe and effective procedure.

Regular treatments can help reduce the formation of deeper expression lines over time by limiting repetitive muscle contraction.
Botox® is a medically approved injectable treatment designed to relax targeted facial muscles that contribute to expression-related lines and wrinkles. By softening repetitive muscle movement, Botox helps reduce the appearance of fine lines while preserving natural facial expression when expertly administered. Treatments are quick, minimally invasive, and require little to no downtime, making Botox a practical option for both corrective and preventative aesthetic care. At Platinum Medical, each treatment is carefully customized based on facial anatomy and individual goals to achieve balanced, subtle, and natural-looking results.
Remain upright for at least 4 hours after treatment. Do not lie down, bend forward excessively, or apply pressure to the treated areas. Avoid touching, rubbing, or massaging the injection sites for at least 3 hours.
Avoid strenuous exercise, heavy lifting, or activities that increase blood flow for at least 6–24 hours. This helps prevent migration of the product and ensures optimal placement.
Avoid makeup for 24 hours if possible. Avoid facials, laser treatments, microdermabrasion, microneedling, and other cosmetic procedures for at least 7–14 days. Avoid retinoids and active skincare products for several days after treatment.
Avoid alcohol, caffeine, and high-sodium foods for 24–48 hours, as these may increase swelling or bruising. Continue to avoid Fish Oil, Vitamin E, NSAIDs, garlic, ginkgo biloba, and similar supplements for at least 72 hours after treatment.
Results begin to appear within 3–5 days, with full results at 10–14 days. Mild swelling, redness, or bruising may occur and is temporary. If desired results are not achieved after 2 weeks, a follow-up appointment may be required. Results typically last 3–4 months, after which movement gradually returns.
To minimize swelling and bruising, avoid excess alcohol and salt intake, and consider sleeping with your head elevated. Cold compresses may be applied gently if needed, and Tylenol may be used for discomfort. Arnica or bromelain may support recovery. Avoid excessive heat, sun exposure, saunas, and hot environments for at least 72 hours, and use SPF 30 or higher. Contact Platinum Medical Spa immediately if you experience severe pain, vision changes, unusual redness, or signs of infection.
