About

Contour TRL™ (Tunable Resurfacing Laser) allows precise control over ablation and coagulation to resurface from superficial polish to deep wrinkle revision. It’s ideal for etched lip lines, severe sun damage, and overall resurfacing when you want powerful, long-lasting change.

Use a daily SPF 30+ and avoid sun exposure, tanning beds, and self-tanners for at least 4–6 weeks before treatment to reduce the risk of complications.

Skincare Preparation

CO2
Deep Wrinkle Softening

Resurfaces etched lines (including smoker’s lines) with results that can be dramatic.

Texture & Tone Reset

Improves roughness, mottled pigment, and overall luminosity.

Tunable Precision

Depth and density are adjusted by zone—for example, deeper around the mouth, lighter on cheeks.

Fewer Sessions

Often performed as a single comprehensive treatment with long-term payoff.

Deep Resurfacing Reset

A detailed plan covers anesthetic choices (topical, local, or sedation based on depth). Treatment time varies by area. Expect oozing/crusting early, then tightness and pinkness. Social downtime typically 7–14 days for deeper passes; pink can persist for weeks.

Post Care
Normal Healing

Moderate swelling, redness, warmth, and a sunburn-like sensation are expected. Swelling may peak within 24–72 hours. Peeling, bronzing, or flaking will occur as the skin heals. Antihistamines may be used if needed and tolerated.

First 24 Hours

Do not wash the area for 12–24 hours unless advised. Avoid makeup, sunscreen, and skincare products. Use cool compresses (no direct ice) and keep your head elevated to reduce swelling.

Wound Care

Starting 24 hours after treatment: Gently cleanse with a mild cleanser. Perform diluted vinegar soaks as instructed (typically 4–6 times daily for 3–5 days). Apply a thin layer of Aquaphor after cleansing and continue 2–3 times daily for about 7 days. Avoid regular moisturizers during early healing; use only recommended occlusive products (e.g., Aquaphor).

Activity & Recovery

Avoid heat, saunas, steam, and intense exercise for 48–72 hours. Avoid alcohol for 48 hours. Do not pick, scratch, or exfoliate the skin. Avoid shaving and swimming for at least 1 week.

Skincare & Sun Protection

Start a mineral sunscreen SPF 30+ after 48 hours once the skin feels comfortable. Avoid direct sun exposure and wear protective clothing. Avoid retinoids, acids, and active exfoliants for 4 weeks. Avoid aggressive treatments for 8–12 weeks. Makeup may be resumed after 48 hours if the skin barrier feels intact.

Healing Timeline & Follow-Up

Healing varies by treatment. Halo typically shows bronzing and flaking within days 2–7. CO₂ and ProFractional healing may take 10–14 days. Collagen remodeling continues for several months. Contact your provider if you experience severe pain, infection signs, excessive crusting, or worsening symptoms.
